An Alternative Burns Night

SUNDAY 27th JANUARY 2019 (Not actual Burns Night)

An Exhibition in response to cuts to creative funding and education "celebrating the life and work of Robert Burns" by showcasing the work of contemporary poets, writers, performers and artists.

As Burns celebrations happen all over Scotland on the 25th of January each year and this year again, lets raise the question of why we continue to celebrate the creative talent of Burns each year yet cut funding that would support the success of future creative talent.

"I wouldn't be here were it not for public funding"
- Charlotte Prodger, Turner Prize Winner 2018.

Come celebrate and turn every Burns tradition upside down.
