The Flying Duck Presents:
CHARRETTE Charrette. / Chuchoter Chuchoter / MOONSOUP Moonsoup
Charrette made it's way into our ears late one night recently sending a chill-wave through our spines with their atmospheric, textured pop songs. Inspired by Glasgow’s Brutalist architecture, steeped in the love for the simple pleasures of a Scottish upbringing -- red blaze football pitches, scraped knees, and the truthful flaws and sensitivity of an alcoholic norm -- along with the dichotomy of being someone who enjoys yet struggles with the inherent toxicity in said subjects.

Chuchoter (pronounced ‘shoo-shaw-tae’) are an Indie-Electronic two piece. Inspired by modern Pop and Disco their deep-soul vocals, strong, self-assured lyrics and dirty jazz production create a fresh sound with a club focus. The band is a qualified pop effort, having studied Music at the University of Edinburgh, with a goal of making pop music which is both accessible and stimulating.

Moonsoup also fed into the same late night dream zone as a musical remedy, healing our soul and ears from the noise pollution of endless mediocre 'guitar bands' while searching for something honest in the city. A set of hauntingly sparse demos set the tone for an all nighter of Cat Power-esque folk songs on repeat.
