Opal Nights

It’s our final party of the year so we’ve invited a few intrepid voyagers of the outer realms to help us celebrate.

Joining us on our final descent of the year into the hazy cavern known as The Flying Duck we’ve got GK Machine, Solar Panel and Opal Nights residents, Ron Yonder & Zoazoa. Cosmic rumblings from beyond the veil beckon the night. Mutated, twisting rhythms crawl out from the depths of the shadows. It’s time to dance.

Opening the night’s ritual we have Solar Panel. Originally from Greece and currently based in sunny Scotland. Panos will be performing a live set of exciting electronics, acting as a human vessel to channel warmth and energy through abstracted sounds, melodies and primeval rhythms.

Next up we’ve got Opal Nights resident DJs Ron Yonder & Zoazoa preparing the grounds for what lies ahead. Expect an appropriately vibey set traversing a lot of landscapes with enough twists and turns to keep the shoelaces on your dancing shoes firmly fastened.

And closing things out til 3 we’ve got none other than GK Machine. Head honcho of Invisible Inc records & in his own words: ‘one of the four fader-flippers of the apocalypse at Wrong Party’ not to mention his involvement with the ever psychotropic, gamelan heavy synth based outfit, Komodo Kolektif. GK Machine and his label have long been a significant part of Glasgow’s musical underground topography and we are very excited to have him on board yet another excursion into the unknown.
