This edition of Weird and Wired is pure punky-noisy goodness!
First up we have fairly recent newcomers to the scene in Glasgow FAT WHITE GHANDI. They're a proper barebones punk outfit that mash punk, noise with a hillbilly twang - think Bogshed, think The Fall if they only had drums bass and a white/asian Mark E Smith.
Secondly we have FAT BLACK CATS, three bloody swell chaps with a sound reminiscent of Parquet courts except they're a bit rougher around the edges - maybe best to think of Parquet Courts if someone smacked them over the head with a bottle of bucky and whilst they were down they made the band drink the bucky and of course after the revitalising taste and kick of buckfast they got up and played the set... just better - oh yeah and they were called Fat Black Cats instead!
Finally we've got EAT THE FREIK. Another noisy/punky/psychy band (catching on to a pattern here?) - Think Thee Oh Sees and then layer a wall of added noise reverbs and funky riffs on top and you're nearly halfway there.
