Timothy J. Fairplay first came to our attention as one half of The Asphodells with the late great Andrew Weatherall, but it was his early solo work that convinced us to approach him for a release on our own Work For Love label. A heady, unique analogue mixture of Italo Disco, Chicago Jack, Acid, Electro & Techno inform his sound, along with a healthy nod to shlocky b-movie soundtracks. Tim has had a slew of releases in the last decade for notable labels like Hoga Nord, Emotional Response, Weapons of Desire, Bird Scarer & Nocta Numerica and also records under the aliases Junior Fairplay and Antoine Rouge. Tim will be bringing his boxes of analogue kit up to Glasgow with him for the first time in years and will be supported by local lads Manifesto of Bliss & Electric Eliminators.
